Artist's Statement

My work is driven by an interest in the relationship between people, nature, and the built environment. Through painting, drawing, photography, and digital design tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp, I explore how thoughtful design can enhance human well-being while promoting sustainability. In particular, I am interested in the principles of biophilic design and the ways in which natural elements can foster meaningful connections between individuals and the spaces they inhabit.

My creative process is iterative and research-informed, combining ideation, digital modeling, and visual exploration. I begin by investigating concepts related to human behavior, environmental responsibility, and spatial experience, then translate these ideas through sketching, modeling, and design development. Equally important to my process is collaboration. Through ongoing dialogue with classmates and professors at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I challenge assumptions, refine ideas, and strengthen the conceptual foundation of my work.

Drawing from a multidisciplinary background that spans economics, political science, finance, and interior design, I approach creative problem-solving from both analytical and human-centered perspectives. I strive to create work that balances functionality, aesthetics, and environmental stewardship, while encouraging a deeper consideration of how design shapes our daily experiences and interactions with the world around us.
